"Bassist & composer Vincent Hsu. A native of Taiwan, Vincent spent 8 years here in NYC where he studied & received a master’s degree in Jazz Performance from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from City College of New York.He also took private lessons with some of the masters of the acoustic bass, including Cecil McBee, Victor Venegas, Andy Gonzalez, and John Schaeffer (former Principal Bassist for the New York Philharmonic). He continues to make an impact musically in his native country".
